Mamá, bienvenida a tu sesión de spa ¡en casa!
¿Qué le compramos a mamá en su día? ¡Una lavadora! ¡Una plancha! ¡Un tostador! …Bueno, al menos eso era lo que se pensaba hace algunos años. Luego se llegó a la afortunada y certera conclusión de que consentir a mamá no significa renovar los electrodomésticos de casa, sino consentirla y regalarle algo para que ella lo disfrute, algo que la haga sentir como si estuviera en el spa de Xel-Há o de Xcaret…
Pero si la Riviera Maya te queda muy lejos, entonces, en tu casa puedes organizarle una tarde de spa en la que tú la atenderás como a una reina. No creas que por no tener tina de baño o mesa de masaje no se puede preparar una sesión de spa en casa al estilo Xel-Há. De hecho es mucho más sencillo -y barato- de lo que te imaginas.
Prepara un espacio (puede ser su habitación) con toallas y sábanas limpias y perfumadas. Pon incienso o aromatizante. Elije aromas tenues. En la sesión de spa para tu mamá no puede faltar la música. Procura algo muy relajante. Hay muy buenos discos con sonidos de naturaleza, como ríos y aves o las olas del mar, así pensará en los bellos escenarios de Xcaret.
Recíbela con un té verde o de manzanilla e invítala a que tome un baño. Si tienes tina, puedes preparársela con unas gotas de aceite de lavanda y adórnarlo con pétalos de flores. El agua debe estar a 30° o 32°. Si es una regadera, deja un jabón perfumado y algún tratamiento para el cabello. Pon a su alcance una toalla y una crema humectante.
Le puedes preparar una mascarilla exfoliante de azúcar con jugo de limón para la cara y las manos. Deja que mamá se relaje sobre su cama y dale un masaje con un aceite especial. No necesitas ser un experto, pregúntale si tiene algún dolor en la espalda y evita esa parte. La tensión se acumula principalmente en los hombros, ahí puedes masajear con suavidad. Pon una bandeja de agua caliente para que mamá relaje sus pies. También puedes usar una mascarilla exfoliante antes de darle un masaje con aceite. Al final, ofrécele una rica ensalada o un plato de fruta con yogurt.
Orienta la conversación a cosas agradables. Cuéntale algún chiste y dile cuánto la quieres. Imagínate y platícale cómo sería un día con ella en Xcaret o Xel-Há y todas las actividades que realizarían.
